Breast Cancer and Massage Benefits
One in eight women in the United States will get breast cancer. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a chance to raise awareness about one of the deadliest diseases among women today. The good news is that women are surviving breast cancer more than ever—if it’s found and treated early.
Recent studies have found that massage offers many health benefits for women with breast cancer. Massage, in general, is helpful for varying ailments, including:
- anxiety
- immune function
- fatigue
- pain
